So, this is what it has come to?

My sugar packets have been disappearing. Not really disappearing, just emptied out and PUT BACK! We went through this a couple of months ago with my half used ones. I would use what I needed and then fold the top and put it back for later. The strangest thing happened. They kept on getting mysteriously emptied. Nobody knew anything about it. Very strange ;)So, I filled some open/empty ones with salt. Tricky right?
I think it worked for little while, but here we go again.

"I can't see her."

So, since Divit died Griffen and Avary have been saying goodnight and blowing kisses to a star that shines over the house behind us. I thought it was a good idea.......Well, tonight it was cloudy. I had to pretty much drag them upstairs. They were so upset that they couldn't see her. After tears from all of us, they fell asleep. With fall coming I need to find a new thing to have them blow their kisses to. This is the first time as a mom that I have gone through losing a pet. Who knew it would be so hard explaining to them that it will get easier. How did my parents handle this over and over again? I have had my fair share of pets. :(

Griffen at his best. Not really. You'll see.

Not a proud moment, but still worth sharing.
Griffen was told no dessert. It didn't go over well.

Griffen golfing.

Craig and Griffen had a boys day a couple of weeks ago and decided to go hit some balls. Griffen had a blast. Here is a small video of his day!

And he's offfffff!

Griffen has learned how to ride with no training wheels! It's kinda scary having two little people riding sporatically in the court. I see many pin-striped cars in our courts future ;)

I have good news and I have bad news......

Divit
The good news, we no longer have a cat-box. The bad news, we had to put Divit down today. She was 13 years old and her body was starting to fail her. Craig and I got her the day we got back from our honeymoon. She was our first 'bought together' thing. The kids are taking it ok. I didn't really know what to expect with them. They probably only saw her once a week because she was always in hiding. Griffen asked where she was going and I told him kitty heaven. He sat there for a second thinking, then said, "so Dad had to fly her up there?" Somehow I got myself out of that conversation. Avary goes from crying to saying, "Anyway, now we can get a dog!" Jackson has been super sweet with the two of them. He let them know that we have many pictures of her and that we will put one in their rooms. Tonight before bed G & A were very upset. We went outside and found a star and told them that that was kitty heaven and now we can always see Divit. They blew her kisses and went to bed. We miss her dearly, but know she feels much better now.

The Circus is in town!

The newest addition to the circus.

She was just born last January.

Too cute!

Walking the tight rope.

Waiting for the doors to open.......

Reminds me of Curious Georges' man in the yellow hat!

Pretty darn good for an elephant.

We had the place to ourselves!
I guess that is what happens at the 11:00 a.m. show.

The Grand Finale!

Today Griffen and Avarys school had a field trip to the Circus! We had a great time! We got there early so we could hang out in the parking lot with the animals before show time. When we went in we were able to go down onto the floor and meet all the circus people. They were both a little weirded out by that. You look one way and see people shorter than you, you look the other and there are strange guys walking around on stilts.

Everyone needs a little girl for this reason alone.

I still remember taking ballet class and I hope that Avary remembers this forever too. She has been waiting for this day to come. The class actually started lastweek and we were out of town camping. She was devastated she wasn't going to be at the FIRST one. Today, all her sorrows went away! From putting on the tights to learning some ballet and tap she was all smiles. Her little friend Caitlin is in the class with her. They had a lot of fun together with lots of little giggles along the way.

Quick trip!

So, we wanted to make the most of Jackson being off last week and this week from school. With the camping trip behind us we decided to take a quick trip down to Redwood City to visit some friends and then stay the night and enjoy Half Moon Bay for the day. It was super short, but super fun! The kids had a blast running along the beach and finding little shells (or pieces of them).

Now we're talkin'

With heat, comes ZUCCHINI!!
We finally have produce growing in our garden. These things are huge. The kids are actually getting sick of eating zucchini bread and muffins. Time to look for new recipes.

There is always one 'treasure' that gets by me.

I was wondering what the 'dong, dong, dong' in the dryer was. Here it is!

One of Avary's little finds from the campsite.
