So this morning Avary was feeling a little worried about going to Circus Camp at Gymnastics. Griffen says, "Grace, don't worry. I will always be with you. We are twins remember?"

Griffen and Avary helping wash the dogs!
Well, we did it again! We had another great weekend at the ranch house. Everytime we leave, we have even more great memories and stories. This time was no different. Good food, good company and good times. We were able to have an early Birthday celebration for all three kids, and did a little of everything else in between.

Wiggly World of Worm Camp!
Griffen studying a diagram of worms.
I love this picture of Avary looking closely at the worm. :)With Jackson going to a couple different summer camps, Griffen and Avary wanted to get into the action. Thats just what they did, well kinda. Not much action when you are dealing with earthworms. Griffen kept asking the scientist lady, "what time does the camp start?" I think she was only a little annoyed after the third time he asked. Oh well! They did learn a lot of interesting things and even got to bring home a worm habitat, a.k.a. plastic cup with a worm, dirt, and a small piece of a carrot! Yes, worms eat carrots! Even I learned a few things. The highlight of the whole 45 minutes was that WORMS POOP DIRT! Don't tell Craig, but I think I actually paid to have my children play with the same things they see on the way to get the mail.

Fathers Day Lunch at The Club!
We spent most of the afternoon at the club. They just remodeled the pools and besides swimming lessons, we haven't had the chance to enjoy the 'newness' yet! It was great. We did lots of swimming, splashing, eating and relaxing poolside. And more importantly, we discovered that our adult sunscreen must be expired. I am FRIED!
Chocolate Chip Banana Muffins for Dads Day!
If you know me, you know I love holidays that include food. Fathers Day is right up there with Thanksgiving for me! Not only because I get to celebrate how lucky I am to have the best father of my children, but because I get to make delicious food and eat it all day! We started early this year with these muffins. I found the recipe online and will never look back! They were so good I actually made two batches so I could send one home with my dad.
You HAVE GOT TO TRY THESE!
Ingredients:
1/2 cup (1 stick) softened butter
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
2 or 3 RIPE bananas mashed
2 cups flower
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
3 tablespoons brown sugar
1/2 to 3/4 cup chocolate chips
1/2 to 3/4 pecans or walnuts
bake 375 for 15-20 minutes!
Time for summer goodies!
Our poor vegtable garden has been waiting for a free weekend for some time now. This was it! We took everything out, except the crazy large artichoke plant that is still growing, and planted tomatoes (all different kinds), cucumbers, squash, zucchini, cantalope, and honeydew. We use a mixture of things for the dirt, one of which is a manure blend. As you can see, it was a very long ride home for poor Avary. She hates smells, especially after the boys were cracking up that we bought chicken poo. She was absolutely disgusted and gagged most of the way home. We'll see how grossed out she is when she starts to see all the yummy fruits and vegies starting to grow!
