Gettin' some shut-eye!

I cut out nap time simply because they were going to bed AFTER Craig and I. So now, they just fall asleep anywhere and everywhere. Even while laying on Craigs lap watching golf.

Is it a sign........or just a sandwich?

Jackson has been wanting/asking for a dog for a while now. The other day he was eating a sandwich and started laughing and told me that this must be a true sign that we will eventually be getting a dog. I told him he could have all the dog shaped sandwiches he wanted. We will have to work on the other kind!
Some great friends invited us to hang out for National Night Out this year and were kind enough to share their wheels! This actually gives me quite a stomach ache. I am sure that they won't be wearing those helmets when they start to drive, but almost positive the smiles will still be there!

Fairytale Town!

Griffen, Avary and I went to Fairytale Town with some moms that I have met through Bunco who just so happen to have kids the same (ish) age! It was a lot of fun just a little HOT!

Where's Griffen? Where's the toilet?

So, it has begun. Potty training! We have just been setting the little toilet out and letting them get used to sitting on it so it isn't that 'scary'. We are very spoiled because when we trained Jackson it took less than 12 hours. He was great and learned quickly. I think we are going to be in pretty good shape with these two though because of how competitive they have become. I am sure that is my fault though cause that's usually the only way I get them to do things around the house, "Who can clean up the fastest? Who can eat all their dinner? and now Who is going to go pee pee in the potty?" Hey, whatever works, right? Anyway, tonight we had success! Avary did it first and was sooo excited with herself!! About a half hour later the toilet and Griffen were missing.....Avary quickly let me know where he was. He was sitting behind a chair on the toilet that he had carried into the other room and guess what? HE PEED!!!!! Now they are walking around the house saying, "Oh, Avary Grace, I so proud of you!" "Oh Griffey, I so proud of you!" Lets just hope it they succeed tomorrow and the days to follow.

First day of 3rd Grade! I can't believe it :(

Well, today was the day. 3rd grade has begun. Jackson was excited to see his buddies, but that was it! He said it went well and he made a couple of new friends! Only 2 of his classmates from last year are in this years class, and the rest are all new friends to be made! I know he will do great!

Race Car Driving......

Jackson was given a gift certificate to a place called RPM here in Sacramento where you go and take a class to learn how to drive a race car and then you get to do just that! He loved it (of course) and did great! After just a few laps he was OFF!!!!!! It was great to see him have so much fun. Thanks Pa!

Oh, the things they say....

Griffen, "Mom, what that?" Shelby, "An air conditioner." Griffen, "Oh, I can't say that, my mouth to small. I need a bigger head."

Gumpy and Griffen hanging out.

Gumpy and Griffen are the perfect pair for hanging out together.

Picture from a three year olds angle.....which one, I don't know!

Some little person got a hold of the camera and took some pictures. This one is pretty good of Gumpy and Uncle Brian.

That Guy!

Brian was able to come down and spend about a week with us to celebrate THE Birthdays! It was neat to see the kids open their gifts from Brian and Gia with Brian here! It was great to see him again and the kids had fun hanging out with him. The only problem was that Griffen and Avary call him "That Guy". They want to give that guy a kiss goodnight, know when that guy is gonna wake up, and sit by that guy! We don't get to see Brian very often, but after this visit you would never know that. The three of them and Brian are a great (and crazy) combination. Thanks for coming Uncle B!!!!!

Jacksons 8th Birthday Golfing Day!

So, for Jacksons 8th Birthday he was invited to go golfing with Dad, Gumpy and Uncle Brian. He did great! If you ask him though he would say that the best part of his day was that Uncle Brian let him drive the golf cart!

Life is Great When You Turn 8!

So, we can hardly believe that Jackson is eight years old today. He has been making us laugh everyday since he started to talk and just amazes us with the things that he knows. Not much gets past him (OK, nothing gets past him). He is an awesome BIG brother and a boy we are happy to call our son. We love you so much Bubba. Happy 8th Birthday!

Home Sweet Home

Well, like they say, Absence Makes The Heart Grow Fonder! Divit, our cat of 12 twelve years, got out lastnight and we didn't notice until this morning. She has been an indoor cat for all her life and has no claws so we thought she has no chance. After many walks around the neighborhood, and help from our friends, turns out all you need to do is go out to lunch and she will be on the porch waiting for you when you return! She is a little dirty, but safe ( and in one piece)! Avary was so excited she said, "WOW, her had a good hiding spot!"

They could be related!

We had our yearly visit with our good friends Brent and Karri Thiele and their boys Gavin and Parker. It was a ton of fun and the kids had a blast playing with them! It's always good seeing them.

Tricky Tricky Mimi & Poppy....

Jackson celebrated his birthday this past weekend also with Mimi and Poppy. My mom played a trick on him and put a gift card in boxes from a garbage disposal to swiffer pads. He was totally confused and so happy that wasn't what he was getting. His final surprise from them was a Nintendo DS which he has been wanting for so long.
