While mommy is away, the rest shall play!

While I was in California, the kids and Craig headed to Vashon Island to hang with the Deines Family. Craig and Jackson even got to go to Jacksons first Seattle Sounders Soccer game! He loved every minute of it. They all had so much fun hanging out and exploring on their nature walks.
Digger, Emma and Avary on a stroll.

They had AWESOME seats!

Happy 36th to me!

I was lucky enough to go back to Northern California to celebrate my 36th Birthday.
Some friends and I had an amazing, relaxing time at a spa all day on Saturday.  Followed up by a yummy dinner!

Me and one of my favorites, Michelle.

Craig was awesome enough to have these waiting for me poolside at the spa.
How sweet is he?

Finished off the weekend with all of my favorites.
Joanna, Michelle and Megan.
I miss these ladies dearly, but know we aren't that far away.

Denver Youngs in the house! Minus one :(

We had a surprise visit from Uncle Brian, Bri and Kaycie!
How cool is that?!
The three of them were in Portland and decided to head up to our area for a couple of days.  It was awesome having them here.  Next time, Gia needs to join them though!

 Craig and his brother!

 "Is it rubbed in?"
Yup.
Kaycie and Bri.  The best role models ever.

It was an absolutely perfect day.  We ate lunch in the harbor and enjoyed the laughs.

MIMI'S HERE!

My mom came for a visit over Spring Break to surprise the kids!  She came about a week after we first moved here and we did nothing but unpack and shovel snow.  This time we were on a mission to show her a good time!

She was even brave enough to have Avary do her hair.
Speaking from experience, I don't recommend this.
IT FREAKIN' HURTS!

We took her our local-ish zoo.  They have these chairs you sit in and spin uncontrolably!
HILARIOUS!
"Here Mimi, have a seat."
giggle, giggle

The boys of course, love to have drool slide out of their mouth, down their cheek!

 We kissed frogs.
Actually, just she did.  Me and my kids are germ-a-phobes.

We went in a hurricane simulator machine.  Notice the wind speed, 78.2 MPH.
"My hair!"

We checked to see if we could all fit in the mouth of a shark.

Ok, if there is any reason to go to the Pt. Defiance Zoo, it is this exhibit.
Polor Bears.
There are two of them and they are absolutely amazing to watch.  They totally interact with you.  I love this part.

Poor Avary was not feeling well at all this day.  This smile cost me a couple pieces of gum.
Totally worth it though.

 Merry Go Round time!

After the zoo we went and walked down Owens Beach.
Have I mentioned before that I love living here.
So many things to do and see.

The end of our fun filled day!

Happy Easter!

This was our first Holiday in Washington.  I have to say it was a little bittersweet.  But, the main thing is the Easter Bunny found us and left us treats to get over our sorrows.  The kids decorated eggs, hunted for eggs and enjoyed their baskets.

 Some of the finished products!

We are lucky enough to have extended family here who we had a yummy Easter brunch with!
Thank you, Piercy Family. for including us!

Consider yourself warned......

We got the boys a laundry hamper this past weekend.  I know, I know.  We live a very exciting life.  Anyway, Griffen was under the assumption that it was only for him.  He was zooper pissed to see some of Jacksons dirties in there.  He immediately walked to the kitchen and wrote up a note to tape on the wall above it.

It reads............
I am Griffen
is a lard
to tus it
no butey
el to
tus it.

Translated...........
I am Griffen
Is allowed
to use it
no body
else to
use it.

Seriously.  He makes me smile.

Indoor Soccer!

Griffen and Avary have joined an Indoor Soccer team.  It is great.  One day a week and they are on the same team.  That's what I'm talking about!  It is a lot of fun watching them learn the sport more and figure it all out!
I could only get a couple of photos to work through the glass.
 Warming up!

Just waiting for the whistle.  :)

There it is!
