Canterwood Fishing Derby

Our neighborhood holds an annual fishing derby for the kids.  There is a 5 fish cutoff.

No worries.  Griffen only caught 2.

Avary, just 1.  Luckily everyone gets a trophy.

Quick winter break trip

 The kids had a week off of school during February.  Usually we just find things to do around the house.  Not this year.  We rented a house in Long Beach, Wa for the week.  It was amazing.  We were just a short 3 minute walk from the beach.  

Never without a soccer ball. 

Ally even got to go and enjoy the week with us.

This is the path to our home away from home for the week.

Boo fest 2013!

Avary and her soccer team were invited to play in a soccer tournament in Seattle.

They played against much older and experienced players, but totally held their own and won 3 out of 4 games!

We had friends in town from Sacramento for a long weekend.  One of the things that we were able to enjoy with them was a Sounders game!  We love us some soccer, but it was even more fun with good friends.

And then he turned 12

Jacksons only Birthday wish was to fly to Sacramento and hang with his buddies.  Surprise!  Wish granted.  He flew there all by himself, I aged about 10 years with that happening, and had a great week with lifelong buds.

Nashville or Bust!

Craig and I were lucky enough to join some friends in Nashville for the Country Music Festival.  Our first time there!  So fun!!

"Look, we are in the magazine!"

Every month our neighborhood puts out a magazine with updates, events and so on.  They feature a family also.  The kids thought it was pretty cool to be interviewed and photographed for an issue.
