"You averaged 3 goals a game!"

Avary finished her soccer season with a bang! She played so well. They don't do All-star teams here in the harbor. Instead, they invite the top performers from each team to play/practice with the premiere coaches. It's a great chance for her to grow even more as a player and a huge honor.

Sight word CHAMPION!

Avary has become our family's first sight word champion! There are 100 words that each first grader needs to know by the end of the school year. She was given the challenge and ran with it. Notecards and all! She rocked it!

They did it!

They both got 100% on the spell-a-thon spelling test! Thank you to everyone who sponsored them. Their school raised over $24,000.00!! There are a lot of smarty pants at this school. :)

Thanksgiving Feast, 1st grade style

G and A's classes had a Thanksgiving potluck. It included everything the pilgrims might have eaten. Dried fruit, popcorn, cheese, corn muffins, crackers and smoked salmon. They set the hallway floor to look like a very long table and all enjoyed their meals. Very cute.

Thanksgiving 2012

This was our first Thanksgiving ever not being with family. We decided to surprise the kids and take them to Great Wolf Lodge. It was so much fun. We packed a thanksgiving meal and ate in our hotel room. We might have started a new tradition.

Viva Las Vegas!

The WHOLE Young family spent last weekend in Vegas. It was perfect weather, good food and lots of memories as usual. Craig was quite sick at the beginning of our time there, but pulled through just fine. :). The kids loved seeing everyone. We visited a Las Vegas version of an aquarium, drove down the strip and watched great soccer games. Kaycie, Craig's youngest niece was there for a tournament. We were able to witness her first hat trick even!
