Cookies for Santa!

This year we did it the easy way. Cookie dough already made and sprinkles we already had! I happen to know that Santa thought they turned out just fine, even with the Valentines and Shamrock candies on them.

Building Gingerbread houses with Jacksons class!

The twins and I joined Jacksons class and made some gingerbread houses. For obvious reasons it was a hit!

Elbow pads, boxing gloves, what's the difference really?

Griffen and Avary found some old elbow & knee pads in the garage this afternoon and immediately thought that they were boxing gloves. They put them on and went at it! It was actually really funny. Then they realized they needed some protection for their eyes and put on their sunglasses. I don't see any mixed martial arts in either of their futures (which is perfectly fine with me). At the very end you can see them shake hands, or more like high five, and if there were sound you could hear Griffen say, "OK, I gotta go!"

"Please, we go on a rainy day walk?"

While Craig and Jackson were at a birthday party, Griffen, Avary and I went on a 'rainy day walk'! It was a lot of fun splish splashing around and a great reason to get out of the house.

A funny from the past!

While we were unloading all the Christmas decorations lastnight, we came acrossed some memories. Here is one that still makes us laugh. Back when Jackson was in preschool he came home with a little Baby Jesus (as shown) that he had made at school. We asked him what it was and his reply was, "This is Baby Cheez-it!"

ZZZZZzzzzzzzz!

I came downstairs the other day to find Griffen jumping around Avary, as she slept, making faces at her. It must be nice to be able to fall asleep while sitting up.

A little bottom heavy, but done!

So, I am starting to sweat just writing about how decorating the Christmas tree went this year. It was the first year all three kids knew what was going on and wanted to be a part of it. Even Jackson said, "remember how we used to put the twins in that gate and just do it by ourselves? Let's do that again." The gate days are over my friend. After we got going it went well. The important thing is that nothing got broken.....yet!

I hope she wears purple!

So, last Friday night Craig and I had a Christmas party to go to so my dad was set up to watch the kids. He asked if he could bring his friend Bonnie with him. The more the merrier. So Avary being Avary needed to be warmed up to the idea of someone 'new'. I told Griffen and Avary that Pa was going to be bringing a friend with him and her name was Bonnie. Avary starts jumping up and down, pumping her fists, and yelling, "Yes, Pa is bringing Barney! Griffen, Pa is bringing Barney!" Well, Pa didn't bring Barney, but all went well anyway!
